I don’t know how I managed to miss this attractive home on Dahlia Avenue until recently; it is so fresh-looking that it looks as though it were completed yesterday. I wish I could tell you more about it; a trip to the records department at the Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety revealed no record of the original building permit. With great attention to detail, this remarkable home is a resounding success. Note the balance between the vertical elements of the atrium window and the horitzontal line of the top story balcony railing. Refinements such as the rusted metal doors, signage, and copper mailbox, and gun-metal-finish railings complete the composition.
